Becoming a Fit Vegan iS POSSIBLE For Anyone And Everyone.
I wasn't always that Fit guy you see here
Having competed in a body building competition in 2012, I was in the best shape of my life! However, unbeknownst to me, this competition was the catalyst to my unhealthy relationship to food.
In the months preparing for the competition I was following a very restrictive malnourished diet. I lacked integrity towards my health and did what the others did; after the bulking phase of the training, 12 weeks before the competition I went into starvation mode and went through a dehydration phase in order to look leaner. When I was on that stage, it was probably the most unhealthiest time of that experience.
Fast forward to one year later after the competition. Within that year, I developed an extremely dysfunctional relationship with food; gained 50 lbs, had binge eating issues, fluctuating energy levels and hated the thought of dieting with a passion!
It took me a very long time to rebuild a healthy relationship with food and it wasn't until I was scouted to do fashion runway and print modelling, that I was motivated to lose the weight.
Turning to the internet, I searched for 'The fastest way to get skinny and lose weight FAST'. My internet search results led me to find some articles on how vegans tend to be skinny and weak. Seeing my body through a superficial lens, I couldn't care less about appearing 'weak' (discovered it isn't true later on). I just simply needed to lose weight to fit into the universal standard clothing sizes for international fashion male models.
I lost 80 lbs In One Year After Going Vegan.
That was a complete game changer for me, and I thought I had cracked the code! The only issue...was that I felt terrible. I still had a bad relationship with food, became skinny but 'flabby', and I couldn't achieve a lean physique like I had a few years prior in the body building competition.
Thriving on plants and being fit is for EVERYONE and ANYONE who is willing to put in SMART WORK.
Here's WHY YOU CAN DO IT:
- Vegan nutrition (Done properly) can help you fully transform your body.
- You don't need to be a master chef to prepare nutritious and delicious meals that will help you burn fat and feel good.
- Getting fit doesn't have to take over your life.
- The methods I use have been made easy to understand and simple to implement.
- You don't need to live in the gym, on the treadmill or worry about counting your macros.
becoming a Fit Vegan
It was only when I started eating enough food, focusing on high protein plant foods and proper macronutrient split that I started to truly thrive and burn fat while increasing my lean muscle mass.
The WRONG way to do it:
- Obsessing over counting macros
- Not eating enough protein
- Burning yourself out with too many HIIT sessions a week
- Eating 'healthy' without a plan and expecting things to change
- Doing countless hours of cardio sessions a week
The RIGHT way to do it:
- Eating ENOUGH calories
- Finding a balance of whole foods and foods you enjoy
- Having a balanced plan that won't burn you out and will promote healthy and sustainable fat loss
- Consuming enough protein to lose fat and increase lean muscle
ACCOUNTABILITY is crucial in the Fit Vegan Tribe. It's one of the main components that help my clients thrive and stay on track in this program.
What I've noticed and experienced for myself is that my clients get the best results when they have personal access to me, so that I can ensure they actually get results and stay on track.
This means that theintake for my program is limited.
With such a huge demand for 1 on 1 coaching, it has become necessary for me to have a personal conversation with each person interested, to help me better understand their individual needs and determine if they are a good fit for the program.
I want to make sure that the individuals I select are action takers, that they are ready and passionate about transforming their bodies and health, and understand that there is no better time than NOW to change their lives.
" Being part of the change I wish to see in this world, helping to bust vegan myths, and guiding the vegan narrative to one that emphasizes health, strength, and vitality, is WHAT DRIVES ME to help my clients succeed in my program. I feel blessed to be in a position to do this; conjoin my past fitness experience, my background as a personal trainer, and my passion to help others, while making an impact on the health of this planet!
